As the school year comes to a close, we kindly ask that all student medications be picked up, as we do not store medications over the summer. Medications can be collected during school hours, between 7:15 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.
The deadline for medication pickup is 12:00 p.m. on June 6. Any medications remaining after this time will be properly disposed of.
If your child is enrolled in Summer Learning, please notify Ms. Bentley so arrangements can be made to transfer their medication to Holbrook. Her email is bentleyl@glcomets.net

Energy Drinks at Hayes Intermediate – A Growing Concern
|
We’ve recently seen an increase in students bringing or accessing energy drinks during the school day, often through their peers. Unfortunately, this has led to some students experiencing negative side effects such as shaking, rapid heart rate, and emotional distress. We kindly ask parents to speak with their children about the risks associated with energy drinks and the importance of not sharing them with others—especially without parental knowledge or consent. Your support in helping us maintain a safe and healthy school environment is greatly appreciated.

Now that the ground has dried up enough, construction (funded by the bond) has resumed on the driveways that will run along the south side of Hayes Intermediate! This construction will help alleviate morning and afternoon traffic congestion on Nixon Road and enhance safety. Over the summer, all parking areas will be redone to further enhance safety. This will go along with secure entrance construction, HVAC upgrades, and limited classroom construction. The upgrades will be amazing to see this August!
