Spring Break 2026

We hope everyone has a safe and restful Spring Break! See you back in school on April 7th.

What are our kids doing on their phones?

As we head into Spring Break, we want to make you aware of a concern that has recently come to our attention involving group text threads and social media among several 5th and 6th grade students outside of school hours. Some of the content shared in these chats has been inappropriate for school-aged children. The kids are very skilled at hiding it from parents - often, when we receive screen shots and share with parents, they are completely unaware.

While this activity is taking place off campus and outside of school hours—meaning the school is not able to monitor or regulate it—we felt it was important to notify families so you can have conversations at home and closely monitor your child’s device use and messaging platforms. We encourage you to review group chats, reinforce expectations for respectful and appropriate communication, and reach out to us if you have questions or need support.

4th Annual Talent Show

Bravo to all the performers from last night’s talent show! Each student did a fantastic job, and it was truly a joy to watch them share their talents with such confidence and enthusiasm. From singing and dancing to skits and instrumental performances, Hayes students really shined on stage. What a wonderful showcase of creativity and hard work!

Hayes Happenings!

The school news is a completely student-led operation. They work hard creating and putting together content each week! They analyze and critique each episode as a class on Mondays and aim to improve each week. Thank you for supporting and encouraging our students. Here is a link for this week's episode.

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

If you’ve ever wondered how to get more involved at your student’s school—or how to stay up-to-date on what’s happening at Hayes and Beagle—the PTO is a great place to start. There is no cost to join, and attending a meeting is an easy way to hear updates, share ideas, and learn how fundraising supports programs and opportunities for students and staff. We’re also looking for volunteers, whether you can help once or several times during the year; we would love to have you involved. Come check it out and see how you can be part of supporting our school community.

The next meeting is on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at 6:30 pm in the Beagle Media Center.
