Martin Luther King Jr. Day
|
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no school on January 19th, 2026. This day honors Dr. King’s legacy of kindness, respect, and service to others. Students are encouraged to reflect on Comet Pride by being positive, respectful, inclusive, determined, and empathetic as they contribute to a caring school community.

Popcorn Day is coming to Hayes on Wednesday, January 28th! Popcorn is $1 per bag (limit one bag per child).

A friendly reminder that school starts at 7:40 am. If your child arrives after this time, please drop your child off at the Main Entrance (Door #1) so they can check in with the office.

Grand Ledge Lacrosse Club - Registration Open!

—Winter Clinics - no experience, no problem!
Sundays, January 11th—March 1st, from 11:00am-1:00pm at the “Old Sam’s Club” 340 Edgewood Blvd, Lansing. New and returning boys and girls build skills with coaches and fellow players in an atmosphere focused on fun and positivity.
Equipment available - first come, first served basis.
—Spring Season Registration is open! The season runs Mid-March thru May with practices in Grand Ledge and games in the Greater Lansing Area.

Grand Ledge student have been invited to register for the 2026 Grit, Glam, and Guts I AM Enough Spring Teen Conference! This years conference will continue to build on themes of confidence, leadership, emotional wellness, and community - offering a full day of engaging workshops and empowering experiences for middle and high school girls.
Conference Date: Monday, March 2nd 2026
Time: 9:00am - 2:00pm
Location: Michigan State University
Registration is now open, and be completed by the coordinating chaperone/administrator. The form will close on 2/2/26.

Save the Date! Grand Ledge Public Schools is excited to host International Night on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 4–8 p.m. at Beagle Middle School. This free, family-friendly event will celebrate cultures from around the world with interactive displays, food, performances, and a fashion show. All families and community members are welcome to attend. This is a save the date announcement—a link to sign up to participate will be sent out in the beginning of February. We look forward to celebrating our community’s rich cultural diversity together!
